* The poky repository master branch is no longer being updated.Richard Purdie2025-11-075-219/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | You can either: a) switch to individual clones of bitbake, openembedded-core, meta-yocto and yocto-docs b) use the new bitbake-setup You can find information about either approach in our documentation: https://docs.yoctoproject.org/ Note that "poky" the distro setting is still available in meta-yocto as before and we continue to use and maintain that. Long live Poky! Some further information on the background of this change can be found in: https://lists.openembedded.org/g/openembedded-architecture/message/2179 Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* recipes: Drop remaining md5sum checksumsRichard Purdie2025-05-011-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | We have long since obsoleted md5sum in favour of sha256sum. Drop the remaining 56 entries (which were showing many recipes hadn't been touched in a long time). They all do have the corresponding sha256sum entries as is clear from the diff. * meta: use explicit uri for all sourceforge upstream version checksAlexander Kanavin2024-10-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously the check for some recipes relied on sourceforge redirecting from downloads.sourceforge.net (SRC_URI is set to that) into the actual project page. Sourceforge does this for interactive browsers, but not for wget. With the check no longer mimicking a browser, and being truthful about coming from wget we need to explicitly fetch the project page in all cases, which is what this commit does. (many recipes already set this explicitly and don't need to be tweaked) (From OE-Core rev: 4c21ce6e34f6ce8fbf4db7bc2fd017c8f7a811b4) Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alex@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

* Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie2010-08-273-0/+278
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
