The kernel do_configure dependency put linux-qoriq's per-machine hash
into this aarch64 recipe, so ls1088ardb and ls1088ardb-pb disagreed
(yocto-check-layer test_machine_signatures). The Makefiles never read
KERNEL_PATH and include only UAPI headers from linux-libc-headers.
ls1088ardb buildhistory unchanged; signatures agree across ls1088a.

spc DEPENDS on tclap, which only meta-oe provides, so bitbake world
broke on qoriq-arm64 without it, failing yocto-check-layer
test_machine_world. packagegroup-fsl-network now only pulls it in with
meta-oe. Tested with bitbake spc on lx2160ardb (no buildhistory delta)
and bitbake -S none world without meta-oe on ls1012ardb and lx2160ardb.

LIC_FILES_CHKSUM pointed at oe-core's generic BSD-3-Clause text, which
never changes, so it could not detect a licence change upstream. The
repository ships its own LICENSE at its root, carrying NXP's copyright,
so checksum that instead. The path is relative to S and needs no
variable.
Validated on MACHINE=ls1088ardb: do_populate_lic re-ran and passed, so
the md5 matches; the buildhistory packages tree is byte-identical.

oelint: Resolve vars.specific on dynamic split packages via PACKAGES_DYNAMIC

${PN}-bash-completion is added to PACKAGES by the bash-completion class
(inherited by this recipe), so a standalone oelint run cannot see it and
flags RDEPENDS:${PN}-bash-completion with oelint.vars.specific.
Declare the package via PACKAGES_DYNAMIC += "^${PN}-bash-completion$" so
the linter recognises it, replacing the inline # nooelint suppression
with a real declaration. ${PN} expands to the recipe name, so the
pattern is a genuine package-name match. STRUCTURAL FIX.
Buildhistory-validated output-neutral on ls1046ardb (qoriq-arm64):
a baseline vs candidate rebuild with do_package forced produced a zero
buildhistory delta -- restool-bash-completion RDEPENDS, FILELIST and the
PACKAGES list are byte-identical before and after.

RDEPENDS:${PN}-bash-completion targets the package that the
bash-completion class (inherited via 'inherit bash-completion') adds
through PACKAGE_BEFORE_PN. oelint-adv parses the recipe without that
oe-core class on its analyzer path, so it cannot see the package and
reports the assignment as oelint.vars.specific ("set specific to a
package not known from PACKAGES").
This is a false positive from missing analyzer context, not a recipe
defect: the RDEPENDS on the bash-completion sub-package is correct. No
structural fix applies, and the rule has no constant-DB hook for known
package names. Add an inline # nooelint: oelint.vars.specific with a
comment explaining the bash-completion class provenance.
A separate oelint.vars.pkgspecific finding already exists on the same
line from a different rule; it is left untouched for that rule's own
pass.
Suppression-only change (comments and the nooelint annotation only); the
effective BitBake metadata is unchanged, so build and buildhistory
validation were skipped.

do_install copies prebuilt AIOP images and setup directory trees into
the package with plain cp -rf, which oelint.task.nocopy flags because
cp inherits the invoking user's ownership. These are recursive
directory copies, so install(1) cannot replace them; add
--no-preserve=ownership, the alternative the rule documents.
Validated with buildhistory: rebuilt aiopsl for MACHINE=ls2088ardb with
and without this change; all aiopsl* packages are byte-identical (file
lists, sizes, dependencies unchanged), because packaging runs under
pseudo and records the files as root-owned regardless.

The upstream Makefile controls linking through its own CC/CROSS_COMPILE and
does not consume the OE LDFLAGS, so the ldflags QA check cannot pass and the
INSANE_SKIP is required. Add an inline # nooelint directive with the
semantic reason. No effective metadata changes.

The package ships AIOP accelerator-core firmware, whose ELF machine type is
not the host BSP arch, so the arch QA check flags it by design and the

spc_git.bb sets no BBCLASSEXTEND and does not inherit native, so the
EXTRA_OEMAKE:class-native variant carrying FMCHOSTMODE=1 can never be
selected.
The remedy oelint.vars.inappclassoverride documents -- declaring
BBCLASSEXTEND = "native" -- is not available here either: DEPENDS lists
fmlib, and fmlib_git.bb sets no BBCLASSEXTEND of its own, so there is no
fmlib-native for an spc-native to build against.
Validated with bitbake -e on ls1046ardb before and after. The expanded
OVERRIDES contains class-target and no class-native, and the only
difference between the two captures is the disappearance of the dead
variable itself; the effective EXTRA_OEMAKE is byte-identical. bitbake
-p parses 2222 entries with 0 errors. A layer-wide oelint-adv 9.10.1
rescan clears the finding and introduces none.

OE-core now parses LICENSE as an SPDX expression, so the legacy
"&" and "|" operators and non-SPDX names trigger warnings/errors during
parsing.
- pktgen-dpdk, skmm-ep, kernel-module-ar and skmm-host actually failed
parsing with a QA error (LicenseRef-BSD has no generic license file
since it was dropped from oe-core). Add NO_GENERIC_LICENSE[BSD] entries
pointing at their existing license text file to fix them
- Prefix non-SPDX license names with "LicenseRef-"
- Replace "&" with "AND" and "|" with "OR"

Add the mandatory HOMEPAGE to recipes that were missing it, using each
recipe's own upstream git repository (github.com/gitlab.com) taken from
its SRC_URI. Clears the oelint-adv oelint.var.mandatoryvar.HOMEPAGE
error for these recipes.
Only recipes with a single, unambiguous upstream repo were set
automatically; recipes with multiple repos in SRC_URI (a main source
plus dependency/patch repos) were resolved by hand or left for a
maintainer, to avoid pointing HOMEPAGE at a dependency.

Align the continuation lines of multi-line variable assignments, as
suggested by oelint-adv's auto-fix for a single rule
(oelint.vars.multilineident), isolated to one commit.
The auto-fix strips the leading space from a value's first line, which
for a ':append' is a required separator; those five recipes had their
leading space restored by hand, so ':append'/':prepend' concatenation
is unchanged. A few multi-line values (e.g. DESCRIPTION) gain internal
whitespace, which is cosmetic and collapses on display.
Build-tested: parsing all 2948 recipes for an i.MX machine reports
0 errors. A residual set (the restored ':append' recipes, whose
separator space oelint cannot reconcile with its indent preference,
plus opencv/dpdk where oelint's own fix does not satisfy its checker)
is left for per-recipe handling.

The series [1] changed the way sources are fetched/unpacked and
S needs to follow that. Additionally for git repos it moved away from
having 'git/' as the checkout directory.
This has been partly tested by building weston based image for
imx6/imx6ull/imx7/imx8/imx8mm/imx8mp/imx95 based images.
E.g. none of the recipes specific for qoriq is built time tested.
As walnascar is no longer compatible with master/whinlatter drop
it from LAYERSERIES_COMPAT.
