* Convert to new override syntaxRichard Purdie2021-08-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This is the result of automated script conversion: scripts/contrib/convert-overrides.py <oe-core directory> converting the metadata to use ":" as the override character instead of "_". (From OE-Core rev: 42344347be29f0997cc2f7636d9603b1fe1875ae) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* distro_features_check: expand with MACHINE_FEATURES and COMBINED_FEATURES, ↵Denys Dmytriyenko2019-11-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | rename Besides checking DISTRO_FEATURES for required or conflicting features, being able to check MACHINE_FEATURES and/or COMBINED_FEATURES may also be useful at times. Temporarily support the old class name with a warning about future deprecation. * Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton2014-01-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. * Replace OpenedHand Bugzilla in BUGTRACKERPaul Eggleton2014-01-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This site no longer exists, and all of these are now (semi-)maintained on yoctoproject.org infrastructure, so set BUGTRACKER to point to the Yocto Project Bugzilla. * OECore license fixes: meta/*Elizabeth Flanagan2011-12-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a quick audit of only the most obviously wrong licenses found within OECore. These fixes fall into four areas: - LICENSE field had incorrect format so that the parser choked - LICENSE field has a license with no version - LICENSE field was actually incorrect - LICENSE field has an imaginary license that didn't exist This fixes most of the LICENSE warnings thrown, along with my prior commit adding additional licenses to common-licenses and additional SPDXLICENSEMAP entries. HOWEVER..... there is much to be done on the license front. For a list of recipes with licenses that need obvious fixing see: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/License_Audit That said, I would suggest another license audit as I've found enough inconsistencies. A good suggestion is when in doubt, look at how openSuse or Gentoo or Debian license the package. * Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie2010-08-271-0/+13
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
