The recipe has been reworked to use the 'imxgpu2d' feature
override. This override has been taken as it is the common only on the
matching overrides.

The mesa-gl is not in sure for the i.MX6 SoC from Quad, DualLite,
SoloX and SoloLite families. The full featured, but trimmed, mesa is
used instead.
This fixes following warning:

| NOTE: consider defining a PREFERRED_PROVIDER entry to match libgl-mesa-dev
| NOTE: multiple providers are available for runtime mesa-driver-swrast (mesa, mesa-gl)

The i.MX6 UltraLite is very different from the other i.MX6 SoCs and
the current BSP infrastructure needs to be reworked to allow for more
granullar control of the features each SoC provide to control the
changes to be applied for the SoC peripherals support.
For now, it is not possible to express this clearly in the BSP so the
current change is to revert some of the changes done for the i.MX6
UltraLite to be enabled and make sure that the boards using the SoC
does not inherit the 'mx6' override.

The Linux kernel provided by Freescale for i.MX28 and i.MX5 is too old
(2.6.35.3) and there are no plans to upgrade it, as the OE-Core is
going to use GCC 5.2 as default compiler soon and it is not possible
to compile this kernel with the new toolchain, thus the removal.
The metadata related to the i.MX23, i.MX28 and i.MX5 SoC family, which
is dependant of this Linux kernel support, has been removed in this
commit so if someone ever wants to bring it back it is easy to find
out all the necessary changes. The recipes affected are:
- alsa-state
- amd-gpu-x11-bin
- gtk+3
- imx-lib
- imx-test
- imx-vpu
- libfslcodec
- linux-imx
- mesa

due the way the variables are expanded. To fix the issue an annonymous

The new GPU release include new GL headers which conflict with the

This updates the bbappend to the newer version; as mesa now provides
the needed PACKAGECONFIG settings we rely on this instead of using an
annonymous Python code to change it during build time.
The bbappend file now is much easier to read.

The AMD GPU libraries does not provide a libGL so we need to rely on
mesa one. This fixes a regression introduced by ea8d003
(gpu-viv-bin-mx6q, mesa: fix virtual/libgl dependencies) as the
virtual/libgl removal needs to be done /only/ for i.MX6 SoCs.

Fixes [YOCTO #4850]
findings:
* meta-fsl-arm/recipes-graphics/mesa/mesa_9.1.3.bbappend is used to
delete libGL.* after compilation of mesa
* ./recipes-graphics/gpu-viv-bin-mx6q/gpu-viv-bin-mx6q_3.0.35-4.0.0.bb, via
gpu-viv-bin-mx6q.inc, provides its own version of libGL
* gpu-viv-bin-mx6q does not advertise "virtual/libgl" in "PROVIDES +="
* but mesa (via mesa.inc) does:
PROVIDES = "virtual/libgl virtual/libgles1 virtual/libgles2 virtual/egl"
* so the statement in imx-base.inc
PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/libgl_mx6 ?= "gpu-viv-bin-mx6q"
does not have effect, because mesa is still the only provider
of virtual/libgl
* packages depending on virtual/libgl only get mesa, which will not contain
the libGL library
* in fact, we still use the gl headers from mesa, but the binary blob library
from gpu-viv-bin-mx6q (gpu-viv-bin-mx6q does not provide the headers),
so a package compiling against GL needs both mesa and gpu-viv-bin-mx6q
conclusion:
* so i suggest having gpu-viv-bin-mx6q depend on mesa to draw in the
gl header package, advertising "virtual/libgl" for gpu-viv-bin-mx6q
via "PROVIDES +=" and not advertising virtual/libgl for mesa via the
.bbappend file
