You can either:

a) switch to individual clones of bitbake, openembedded-core, meta-yocto and yocto-docs

b) use the new bitbake-setup

You can find information about either approach in our documentation:
https://docs.yoctoproject.org/

Note that "poky" the distro setting is still available in meta-yocto as
before and we continue to use and maintain that.

Long live Poky!

Some further information on the background of this change can be found

<title>meta: set S from UNPACKDIR in recipes that use only local files</title>

There is no need to have two assignments; also setting S from
UNPACKDIR (and not vice versa) is more logical as unpack
task comes first, and tasks that come after unpack use S to access
unpack results.

Also adjust reference test data in selftest/recipeutils to reflect changes in test recipes.

We have long since obsoleted md5sum in favour of sha256sum. Drop the remaining
56 entries (which were showing many recipes hadn't been touched in a long time).
They all do have the corresponding sha256sum entries as is clear from the diff.

systemd started to warn about used but unset environment variables.
Let us set watchdog_module=none which is used by the watchdog.service to get
rid of the following warning:

watchdog.service: Referenced but unset environment variable evaluates to an empty string: watchdog_module

Several recipes have S pointing at a directory that does not exist.
Set S in these cases to somethig valid making the metadata and
recipe behaviour more consistent.

Tweak one of the QA test diff offsets to match the changed recipe.

We've been removing PR values from recipes at upgrade time for a while. In general
anyone maintaining a binary distro would end up having to curate these themselves
so the values in OE-Core aren't really that useful anymore. In many ways it makes
sense to clear out the remaining ones (which are mostly for 'config' recipes that
are unlikely to increase in PV) and leave a clean slate for anyone implementing
a binary distro config.

References are left in meta-selftest since the tests there do involve them and
their removal upon upgrade.

watchdog code does not have any dependency on rpc code,
therefore the dependency and flags to try to use it are
removed.

The systemd-shutdown sets watchdog timeout to 10m (600 seconds) which is too
large, and caused errors when reboot on boars such as rpi4:

systemd-shutdown[1]: Failed to set timeout to 10min: Invalid argument

The watchog's default value is 60s, so set RebootWatchdogSec to 60s to fix the
errors. And &lt;machin.conf&gt; can set WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT when needed, for example,
the max timeout of rpi4 is 15 seconds.
