You can either:

a) switch to individual clones of bitbake, openembedded-core, meta-yocto and yocto-docs

b) use the new bitbake-setup

You can find information about either approach in our documentation:
https://docs.yoctoproject.org/

Note that "poky" the distro setting is still available in meta-yocto as
before and we continue to use and maintain that.

Long live Poky!

Some recipes explicitly disable ccache via CCACHE_DISABLE variable since
they are known issues with ccache in those recipes.
This setting should not be ignored also when ccache in in HOSTOOLS.

Rework a hard to read if clause so that it is in format
if (not CCACHE_DISABLE and (cond1 or cond2 or cond2)):

At the moment we don't allow ccache for native recipes to avoid the
dependency loop of native recipes needing ccache-native which then
depends on itself.

One way to avoid this dependency loop is to just provide a host ccache,
so enable ccache globally if ccache is in HOSTTOOLS. This isn't set
out of the box, but does work.

This variable controls how ccache determines if the cache is valid or not
for a given compiler.

By default, ccache looks at the mtime of the compiler binary. This should
be sufficient for our purposes as the mtime is preserved from sstate
and will only be changed on rebuilds if the binary is actually different.

Move some environment variables to the configuration file, so there's
less happening in the class.

Max_size was removed so that the per-recipe caches don't grown without
limit. The default cache is 5GB.

Native recipes are not able to use ccache currently, due to a circular
dependency between ccache-native and cmake-native.
This affects also other native recipes, but not all, imposing a
limitation in build time optimizations.

The introduction of CCACHE_NATIVE_RECIPES_ALLOWED allows the user to specify
which native recipes should use ccache, keeping it disable by default for all
native recipes.

As stated in our top level license files, the license is MIT unless
otherwise stated. Add SPDX identifers accordingly. Replace older
license statementa with the standardised syntax. Also drop "All
Rights Reserved" expression as it isn't used now, doesn't mean anything
and is confusing.

Since host's ccache is not reliable, so disable ccache for native recipes and
use ccache-native for other types of recipes. We need disable ccache for native
recipes is because ccache-native now depends on cmake-native which causes
circular dependencies, and it's not easy to break the circular.
