The reason is because of bug 2256. This bug was discovered during Release 1.2. Apparently it also affects 1.1.2. I have added the Note explaining the bug. I updated the cd command to place them in poky-extras before checking out the branch. The first was the reference to the kernel being used in the source repositories. It was 3.0 when it should have been 3.0-1.1.x. The second was the inclusion of the $HOME/poky/meta-intel path in the bblayers.conf file. This change is post edison. I removed it.
