Upstream-Status:Inappropriate [debian patches] From 9ba88d73444c22788b7c2a212e15dbfe3da2a1af Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Niko Tyni Date: Wed, 3 Aug 2011 22:36:24 +0300 Subject: Use a socket timeout on GNU/kFreeBSD to catch ICMP port unreachable messages Bug: http://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=69997 Bug-Debian: http://bugs.debian.org/627821 Without this, openlog() on a UDP socket may succeed on the FreeBSD kernel even when there's no listener, causing test failures. It seems probable that all FreeBSD-based systems suffer from the same issue, but that's for upstream to decide.
