| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | cve-2021-43618.patch removed since it's included in 6.3.0 Changelog: ============ BUGS FIXED * A possible overflow of type int is avoided for mpz_cmp on huge operands. * A possible error condition when a malformed file is read with mpz_inp_raw is now correctly handled. FEATURES * New public function mpz_prevprime, companion of the existing mpz_nextprime. * New documented pointer types mpz_ptr, mpz_srcptr, and similar for other GMP types. Refer to the manual for full list and suggested usage. These types have been present in gmp.h at least since GMP-4.0, but previously not advertised to users. * Support for 64-bit Arm under Macos. * Support for the loongarch64 CPU family. * Support for building with LTO, link-time optimisations. SPEEDUPS * New special code for base = 2 in mpz_powm reduces the average time for the functions that test primality. * Speedup for the function mpz_nextprime on large operands. * Speedup for multiplications (some sizes only) thanks to new internal functions to compute small negacyclic products. * Special assembly code for IBM z13 and later "mainframe" CPUs, resulting in a huge speedup. * Improved assembly for several 64-bit x86 CPUs, Risc-V, 64-bit Arm. * gmp: refresh patchesRoss Burton2018-03-093-23/+20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The patch tool will apply patches by default with "fuzz", which is where if the hunk context isn't present but what is there is close enough, it will force the patch in. Whilst this is useful when there's just whitespace changes, when applied to source it is possible for a patch applied with fuzz to produce broken code which still compiles (see #10450). This is obviously bad. We'd like to eventually have do_patch() rejecting any fuzz on these grounds. For that to be realistic the existing patches with fuzz need to be rebased and reviewed. * recipes: Move out stale GPLv2 versions to a seperate layeruninative-1.5Richard Purdie2017-03-074-166/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | These are recipes where the upstream has moved to GPLv3 and these old versions are the last ones under the GPLv2 license. There are several reasons for making this move. There is a different quality of service with these recipes in that they don't get security fixes and upstream no longer care about them, in fact they're actively hostile against people using old versions. The recipes tend to need a different kind of maintenance to work with changes in the wider ecosystem and there needs to be isolation between changes made in the v3 versions and those in the v2 versions. There are probably better ways to handle a "non-GPLv3" system but right now having these in OE-Core makes them look like a first class citizen when I believe they have potential for a variety of undesireable issues. Moving them into a separate layer makes their different needs clearer, it also makes it clear how many of these there are. Some are probably not needed (e.g. mc), I also wonder whether some are useful (e.g. gmp) since most things that use them are GPLv3 only already. Someone could now more clearly see how to streamline the list of recipes here. I'm proposing we mmove to this separate layer for 2.3 with its future maintinership and testing to be determined in 2.4 and beyond. * gmp: add configure.ac patch to append user provided compilation flagsLaurentiu Palcu2014-02-112-0/+53
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | gmp configure script is pretty good at auto detecting the ABI and the tune flags that need to be passes to the compiler. However, the user provided flags (CFLAGS, CXXFLAGS, CPPFLAGS) take precedence and the ABI detection may fail, leading to configure errors like the one below: | configure: error: Oops, mp_limb_t is 32 bits, but the assembler code | in this configuration expects 64 bits. | You appear to have set $CFLAGS, perhaps you also need to tell GMP the | intended ABI, see "ABI and ISA" in the manual. One solution would be to change the recipe and add the ABI manually, or let gmp do the job. So, this patch will: * allow the configure process to auto-detect the ABI and tune flags properly; * append our flags to the detected ones; [YOCTO #5783] (From OE-Core rev: 8339b9ac16e7d3206de21a204beffaae5203adbb) Signed-off-by: Laurentiu Palcu <laurentiu.palcu@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
