* fontcache.bbclass: add fontconfig-utils runtime dependencyMatthieu Crapet2014-03-211-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In an image recipe, you can get a warning, for example: WARNING: The postinstall intercept hook 'update_font_cache' failed (exit code: 1)! See log for details! WARNING: The postinstalls for the following packages will be postponed for first boot: ttf-dejavu-sans-mono (because /usr/bin/fc-cache is missing) In OE-core, rdepend is correctly done in each recipe: - ttf-fonts/liberation-fonts - ttf-fonts/ttf-bitstream-vera In meta-OE, rdepend is not done but packagegroup-fonts-truetype.bb includes fontconfig-utils: - ttf-fonts/ttf-arphic-uming - ttf-fonts/ttf-dejavu - ttf-fonts/ttf-droid - ttf-fonts/ttf-gentium - ttf-fonts/ttf-hunkyfonts - ttf-fonts/ttf-inconsolata - ttf-fonts/ttf-liberation - ttf-fonts/ttf-mplus - ttf-fonts/ttf-sazanami - ttf-fonts/ttf-ubuntu-font-family - ttf-fonts/ttf-wqy-zenhei (From OE-Core rev: 306335b13fedc18cf03da1c2a68e97c01eb59075) Signed-off-by: Matthieu Crapet <Matthieu.Crapet@ingenico.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* allarch: Drop various problematic allarch usagesRichard Purdie2013-04-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | In each of these cases allarch is used where the package in question has a dependency on things which are not allach and change when MACHINE is changed. This leads to a rebuild of the package each time MACHINE is switched and the sstate checksum changes. The dependencies in question are not suited be being marked as ABISAFE. * ttf-bitstream-vera: Use fontcache class for postinstallRichard Purdie2013-04-151-7/+3
| | | | | | | | | Using the fontcache class means we can run the postinstall at build time so this is generally more efficient. (From OE-Core rev: 00cc684885efa555f7eac7653482f72095b1c443) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

* OECore license fixes: meta/*Elizabeth Flanagan2011-12-081-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a quick audit of only the most obviously wrong licenses found within OECore. These fixes fall into four areas: - LICENSE field had incorrect format so that the parser choked - LICENSE field has a license with no version - LICENSE field was actually incorrect - LICENSE field has an imaginary license that didn't exist This fixes most of the LICENSE warnings thrown, along with my prior commit adding additional licenses to common-licenses and additional SPDXLICENSEMAP entries. HOWEVER..... there is much to be done on the license front. For a list of recipes with licenses that need obvious fixing see: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/License_Audit That said, I would suggest another license audit as I've found enough inconsistencies. A good suggestion is when in doubt, look at how openSuse or Gentoo or Debian license the package. * Improve handling of 'all' architecture recipes and their interaction with sstateRichard Purdie2011-10-041-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | * Jansa: rebased on current master, added nocompiler patch also to font-alias, dropped allarch from linux-firmware, gnome-icon-theme, hal-info as those are checking compiler (ie in intltool check) and better to build them as default arch instead of rebuilding after every machine change. * this is also part of [BUGID# 1075] (From OE-Core rev: 85d8362e0c443f11fe8d3fd0fba55d1bd4983613) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Martin Jansa <Martin.Jansa@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* ttf-bitstream-vera_1.10: add PN to RDEPENDSTom Zanussi2011-09-161-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | RDEPENDS is package-specific, so add ${PN} to it. (From OE-Core rev: cfccedf0f9c2aa051de3ecdd4c3f6d42729c982d) Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* Drop PRIORITY variableRichard Purdie2011-07-011-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As discussed on the mailing list, this variable isn't useful and if wanted would be better implemented by distros using pn-X overrides. This patch executes: find . -regex ".*\.\(bb\|inc\)$" | xargs sed -i '/^PRIORITY = ".*"$/d' against the tree removing the referenced. Thanks to Phil Blundell for the command. * License Field Cleanup: Non-standard field namesBeth Flanagan2011-05-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I've cleaned up some odd license fields, fixed some license names and corrected some incorrect licenses. LICENSE really needs a pass through by the maintainers as some of the licensing is incorrect. Also, every license with Artistic should be gone through and noted as which version of Artistic. * recipes: pre/post actionsMark Hatle2011-02-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | A number of the recipes did not properly label their pre and post actions, causing the actions to occur in all split packages. This was corrected by defaulting to _${PN} in most cases. Signed-off-by: Mark Hatle <mark.hatle@windriver.com>
* recipes-graphics: Add more detailed SUMMARY and DESCRIPTIONSMark Hatle2011-02-031-1/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Add more detailed SUMMARY and DESCRIPTIONS to various graphics and graphics related components. I've recently gotten question from users what something is, or why it was needed.. this should go a long way toward answering those questions. Many of the descriptions were taken directly from the upstream location, where one was not available the Debian packages were consulted for information. * Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie2010-08-271-0/+34
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
