* Rename MACHINE=netbook to MACHINE=atom-pcDarren Hart2010-10-081-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | In preparation for the more generic atom-pc, rename the netbook machine and all the relevant overrides. Leave the linux-netbook kernel recipe intact and as the default kernel for the atom-pc machine. A future patch will convert this over to linux-wrs and likely remove the linux-netbook kernel recipe. * Fix the matchbox-panel seg fault on netbook & emenlowZhai Edwin2010-09-101-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | netbook & emenlow use "-march=core2"(in tune-atom.inc) instead of "=i586"(for qemux86), plus the "-fomit-frame-pointer" in default FULL_OPTIMIZATION, this cause strange seg fault when starting matchbox-panel. seg fault happened @ tmp_reset_bg (gtk+-2.20.1/gdk/x11/gdkwindow-x11.c), which is inline function extended inside _gdk_x11_window_tmp_unset_bg. When expanding GDK_DRAWABLE_XID(obj->bg_pixmap) with gcc 4.5.0 optimization, a function call is missing. Saving a local var to stack also disappeared, but still tried to restore it from stack, which cause seg fault after getting a worng value. This fix avoid "-fomit-frame-pointer" in gtk+ on netbook & emenlow. [BUGID #224] fixed by this. Signed-off-by: Zhai Edwin <edwin.zhai@intel.com>
* Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie2010-08-2743-0/+14336
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
