* meta/meta-selftest/meta-skeleton: Update LICENSE variable to use SPDX ↵Richard Purdie2022-02-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | license identifiers An automated conversion using scripts/contrib/convert-spdx-licenses.py to convert to use the standard SPDX license identifiers. Two recipes in meta-selftest were not converted as they're that way specifically for testing. A change in linux-firmware was also skipped and may need a more manual tweak. * ltp: Disable proc01 testRichard Purdie2022-02-162-0/+28
| | | | | | | | | | This test has history of hanging on arm trying to read from /proc/kmsg and it has reappeared. Disable the test since hanging autobuilder builds are annoying. I suspect there is a genuine race on ARM somewhere here in the kernel. (From OE-Core rev: e8f5bd9dc35e2da014412bb35fbd2f96d0b1c5a8) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* ltp: update 20210927 -> 20220121Alexander Kanavin2022-02-016-196/+34
| | | | | | | | | | | | The ltp compliancy parser is rewritten to actually match the logs: they seem to be unstructured, test case names are not printed and the only indication of failure is appearance of FAIL[ED] somewhere. (From OE-Core rev: 52766561dbfee625c89393905a85e10d85f69c6c) Signed-off-by: Alexander Kanavin <alex@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* recipes: Update github.com urls to use httpsRichard Purdie2021-11-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Github has announced there will be no more git:// fetching from their servers: https://github.blog/2021-09-01-improving-git-protocol-security-github/#no-more-unauthenticated-git and they're about to start having brownout periods to encourage people to update. This runs the conversion script over OE-Core to update our urls to use https instead of git. (From OE-Core rev: b37b61e9a1e448a34957db9ae39285d21352552e) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* meta: Add explict branch to git SRC_URIsRichard Purdie2021-10-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | There is uncertainty about the default branch name in git going forward. To try and cover the different possible outcomes, add branch names to all git:// and gitsm:// SRC_URI entries. This update was made with the script added to contrib in this patch which aims to help others convert other layers. * ltp: backport ioctl_ns05 fix from upstreamPaul Gortmaker2021-08-262-0/+60
| | | | | | | | | | | This false positive keeps showing up in our testing but the fix isn't yet a part of a tagged release, and it is probably too late for doing an uprev for the fall release anyway. | | | | | | | | | | | | This is the result of automated script conversion: scripts/contrib/convert-overrides.py <oe-core directory> converting the metadata to use ":" as the override character instead of "_". * ltp: Reinstate 'hanging' tests for evaluationRichard Purdie2021-06-172-46/+0
| | | | | | | | | | We think we've found the root cause of the ltp hangs as a cgroup kernel fs bug introduced in 5.1 and now fixed in linux-yocto. Reinstate these tests and see if any issues recur. * ltp: Disable problematic tests causing autobuilder hangsRichard Purdie2021-05-222-0/+46
| | | | | | | | | | We've seen three hangs in cgroup_xattr and two in proc01 so far. The new plan is just to disable any tests seen to hang. I've had enough of these causing problems on our testing infrastructure. * ltp: Replace musl patches with do_patch[postfuncs]Petr Vorel2021-05-013-116/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | MUSL related build fixes are not going to be upstreamed. They just not compile broken files, thus replace them with upstream solution for CI: just deleting files for musl (easier to maintain). * ltp: fix empty ltp-dev packageJonas Höppner2021-04-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently the headers are not installed and the ltp-dev package is empty. This patch adds an include-install make target in the do_install step to install them in sysroot which ends up as a working ltp-dev package. * ltp: Fix libswapon issue properlyRichard Purdie2021-03-103-8/+502
| | | | | | | | | Replace the libswapon reproducibility workaround with the solution preferred by upstream. (From OE-Core rev: 5fc7d4a4c428d5be7103d8e9345d23038dae4247) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* ltp: Fix determinism issueRichard Purdie2021-03-104-294/+354
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There was still a remaining issue with reporoducibility based upon the make version from the host system. Some versions added whitespace for XXX+=<tab> (e.g. 4.1) and some versions do not (e.g. 4.3). Replace the determinism patches with those submitted upstream both for this issue and the previous one. The LC_ALL setting for sort is dropped as it didn't fix an issue as hoped. * ltp: Fix another determinism issueRichard Purdie2021-03-062-2/+27
| | | | | | | | | After the other fixes there remained occasional problems. Fix another makefile sorting problem affecting the disktest binary. (From OE-Core rev: 636f4d1f6ed8a95e3a583abc5904ab8dbc6184af) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* ltp: Fixing determinism issuesRichard Purdie2021-03-022-0/+56
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a patch adding sorting to a couple of points in the Makefiles which removes most of the determinism issues in ltp. Build swapon before the main build to ensure libswapon.o is built deterministically as it races with swapoff. All issues reported on the upstream mailing list. | | | | | | | | | | | Swap verification sometimes fails due to race condition with udev. This is a known issue: https://github.com/linux-test-project/ltp/issues/458. "udevadm trigger" forces udev to sync up device events with kernel.
