* recipes-devtools: replace virtclass-native(sdk) with class-native(sdk)Robert Yang2012-11-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The overrides virtclass-native and virtclass-nativesdk are deprecated, which should be replaced by class-native and class-nativesdk. [YOCTO #3297] (From OE-Core rev: bb67ddeb2eed3e25c626a279ef53a7e8c7bfe6f2) Signed-off-by: Robert Yang <liezhi.yang@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* nativesdk: Switch to using nativesdk as a prefix, not a suffixRichard Purdie2012-09-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As discussed on the mailing lists, using a suffix to package names is hard and has lead to many recipes having to do PKGSUFFIX games. Its looking extremely hard to scale nativesdk much further without hacking many recipes. By comparison, using a prefix like multilib does works much better and doesn't involve "hacking" as many recipes. This change converts nativesdk to use a prefix using the existing multilib infrastructure. * meta: Convert getVar/getVarFlag(xxx, 1) -> (xxx, True)Richard Purdie2012-03-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Using "1" with getVar is bad coding style and "True" is preferred. This patch is a sed over the meta directory of the form: sed \ -e 's:\(\.getVar([^,()]*, \)1 *):\1True):g' \ -e 's:\(\.getVarFlag([^,()]*, [^,()]*, \)1 *):\1True):g' \ -i `grep -ril getVar *` Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* Convert to use direct access to the data store (instead of bb.data.*Var*())Richard Purdie2011-11-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is the result of running the following over the metadata: sed \ -e 's:bb.data.\(setVar([^,()]*,[^,()]*\), *\([^ )]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(setVarFlag([^,()]*,[^,()]*,[^,()]*\), *\([^) ]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(getVar([^,()]*\), *\([^(), ]*\) *,\([^)]*\)):\2.\1,\3):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(getVarFlag([^,()]*,[^,()]*\), *\([^(), ]*\) *,\([^)]*\)):\2.\1,\3):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(getVarFlag([^,()]*,[^,()]*\), *\([^() ]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -e 's:bb.data.\(getVar([^,()]*\), *\([^) ]*\) *):\2.\1):g' \ -i `grep -ril bb.data *` (From OE-Core rev: b22831fd63164c4db9c0b72934d7d734a6585251) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* Allow user mode NFS server to run without rpcbind / portmapJason Wessel2011-10-102-1/+36
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | and nfsroot mount without the need to talk to an RPC info server as long as the port numbers for mountd and nfsd are known in advance. This patch updates the qemu startup scripts and the user mode NFS server to have the ability to start without the need to use rpcbind or portmap services. * Update meta-ide-support dependenciesScott Garman2010-10-071-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Using poky-qemu with our new tap networking and/or unfs support required too many additional build steps. This updates the meta-ide-support dependencies so all features are built and available to use. Specifically, this adds psuedo-native, qemu-helper-native, and unfs-server-native to the dependency chain for meta-ide-support. This fixes [BUGID #392] Also add poky-gen-tapdevs and remove runqemu-nfs from the qemu-helper-native recipe, and update some qemu control script error messages to suggest building meta-ide-support. * Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie2010-08-2723-0/+4608
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
