* openjade-native: work around bug exposed by GCC 6Daniel McGregor2016-07-271-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Simply turn off the optimzation that is causing this breakage. I had originally used -fno-lifetime-dse, but -fno-tree-dse works at least going back as far as gcc 4.8. This isn't a real fix, but it allows openjade to work enough to complete a build. * openjade: Fix build if not installing libtool .la filesPhil Blundell2016-01-071-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | The openjade build system is slightly funky and does strange things with library dependencies. Fix it up so that it depends on the .so rather than the .la (which may not exist) for libraries from the sysroot. * openjade-native: statically link local libsChristopher Larson2015-11-251-6/+16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Statically link local libs to avoid gold link issue. This is clearly a workaround, but does get us past the failures with systems using gold by default until we find a better solution. * sgml-common-native: fix the generation of sgml-docbook.catRobert Yang2014-03-191-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There would be build errors if multiple builds use the same SSTATE_DIR, and the builds use the different versions' docbook-sgml-dtd-native, the problems are: we have multiple versions docbook-sgml-dtd-native: docbook-sgml-dtd-3.1-native docbook-sgml-dtd-4.1-native docbook-sgml-dtd-4.5-native And they depend on sgml-common-native which installs the file sysroot/etc/sgml/sgml-docbook.cat, this file is also included in the sstate cache file (.tar.gz), but both the 3 versions docbook-sgml-dtd-native may update the sysroot/ect/sgml/sgml-docbook.cat, and it is a hardlink to SYSROOT_DESTDIR/etc/sgml/sgml-docbook.cat, so the sgml-docbook.cat in the sstate cache file may contain the docbook-sgml-dtd-<version>-native's info, and there would be errors when we mirror the sstate-cache to another build which uses a different version. Now we exclude the sgml-docbook.cat from the ${D}, and generate sysroot/ect/sgml/sgml-docbook.cat dynamically will fix the problem, both the sgml-common-native and docbook-sgml-dtd-<version>-native can update it it correctly. The similar to docbook-dsssl-stylesheets-native and openjade-native. * autotools-brokensep: Mark recipes with broken separate build dir supportRichard Purdie2014-02-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch goes through the OE-Core recipes and marks those which use autotools but don't support a separate build directory (${S} != ${B}). A new class, autotools-brokensep is used for this purpose. This doesn't introduce any change in behaviour in its own right. * openjade-native: Ensure we reautoconf the packageRichard Purdie2012-06-121-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently since configure.in in is in a subdirectory, we don't reautoconf the recipe. We really need to do this, to update things like the libtool script used and fix various issues such as those that could creep in if a reautoconf is triggered for some reason. Since this source only calls AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE to gain the PACKAGE and VERSION definitions and that macro now errors if Makefile.am doesn't exist, we need to add these definitions manually. These changes avoid failures like: ---- | ... | DssslApp.cxx:117:36: error: 'PACKAGE' was not declared in this scope | DssslApp.cxx:118:36: error: 'VERSION' was not declared in this scope | make[2]: *** [DssslApp.lo] Error 1 ---- (From OE-Core rev: 6f0d830ed047f700702645d454054dfd6fea6f25) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

* Allow use of dash as /bin/shRichard Purdie2011-11-101-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We've had the check for dash as /bin/sh for a long time. Dash has been around long enough now that most major issues have been identified and fixed from build perspective. This patch fixes a bashism in the openjade-native recipe. It also adjusts libtool so that the header at the script is used and not the value of $SHELL. This is because many Makefiles change $SHELL so dash can get used to execute what is otherwise configured as a bash shell script. Since we don't need to execute scripts this way on any system I'm aware of us building upon, the simplest fix is just to remove $SHELL. With these two changes the dash check can be removed and we can allow builds with dash as /bin/sh (From OE-Core rev: 07ded02ffd37b4fe60a6210dbf56490ea306f0b6) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org> [Note: I know I need to add the description of the libtool change above into the prefix.patch]
