* cmake: Fix CMAKE_SYSTEM_PROCESSOR setting for SDKTom Hochstein2022-09-091-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | When building using an SDK, cmake complains that the target architecture 'cortexa53-crypto' is unknown. The same build in bitbake uses the target architecture 'aarch64'. Set CMAKE_SYSTEM_PROCESSOR the same as for bitbake. * cmake: remove CMAKE_ASM_FLAGS variable in toolchain fileMartin Beeger2022-08-021-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As discussied in [YOCTO #14717] cmake contains a OEToolchainConfig.cmake file to configure the toolchain correctly in cross-compile build for recipes using cmake. The CMAKE_ASM_FLAGS are the configuration are meant for assembly, but the spelling is incorrect and the Flag is ASFLAGS for gcc and other compilers. So this variable might neever have worked and it is better for recipes to specify their own. * cmake: support to create per-toolchain cmake file in SDKJagadeesh Krishnanjanappa2022-03-313-0/+71
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The patch creates ${MULTIMACH_TARGET_SYS}-toolchain.cmake file at ${SDK_INSTALL_DIR}/sysroots/${SDK_SYS}/usr/share/cmake/, which is per-toolchain CMake toolchain file containing arch-specific values and independent of OE environment variables. The file gets created after installing SDK toolchain installer ined by running "bitbake -c populate_sdk <image>". The changes are similar to meson-setup.py which is used to create arch-specific ${SDK_INSTALL_DIR}/sysroots/${SDK_SYS}/usr/share/meson/*-meson.cross [YOCTO #14644] Tested-by: Jan Dorniak <jaskij@gmail.com> (From OE-Core rev: 42e68397ec74b3cd8ae5df45355c8f6254b48cd8) Signed-off-by: Jagadeesh Krishnanjanappa <workjagadeesh@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@bootlin.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

* cmake: remove bogus CMAKE_LDFLAGS_FLAGS definition from toolchain fileMartin Beeger2022-02-121-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As discussion in [YOCTO #14717] cmake contains a OEToolchainConfig.cmake file to configure the toolchain correctly in cross-compile build for recipes using cmake. The variable CMAKE_LDFLAGS_FLAGS is spelled incorrectly, cmake expects CMAKE_SHARED_LINKER_FLAGS, CMAKE_STATIC_LINKER_FLAGS, CMAKE_EXE_LINKER_FLAGS and CMAKE_MODULE_LINKER_FLAGS to be set instead. As cmake already correctly initializes these from environment there is no need to specify the linker flags in the toolchain file at all. So this just removes the variable, as its value was also set wrong. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CMake depends on having all formats supported and build issues can arise when zstd is not available: https://gitlab.kitware.com/cmake/cmake/-/issues/21552 Quote from a CMake dev: "As far as CMake's design is concerned, we have no optional formats. If a distro builds with an older libarchive that doesn't have zstd support, then that is not a proper packaging of CMake." | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | For ptest support of expat package: - expat_2.2.9.bb recipe was switched on cmake-based building system to avoid cahnges in autotools build system which considered in upstream as potentially deprecated (https://github.com/libexpat/libexpat/issues/330). - cmake-native_3.17.3.bb recipe was forced to use bundled version of expat from CMake source tree. * cmake: 3.14.0 -> 3.14.1Pascal Bach2019-04-043-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The FindFontconfig module added by 3.14.0 accidentally used uppercase FONTCONFIG_* variable names that do not match our conventions. 3.14.1 revises the module to use Fontconfig_* variable names. This is incompatible with 3.14.0 but since the module is new in the 3.14 series usage should not yet be widespread.
