* apt: refresh patchesRoss Burton2018-03-095-33/+34
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The patch tool will apply patches by default with "fuzz", which is where if the hunk context isn't present but what is there is close enough, it will force the patch in. Whilst this is useful when there's just whitespace changes, when applied to source it is possible for a patch applied with fuzz to produce broken code which still compiles (see #10450). This is obviously bad. We'd like to eventually have do_patch() rejecting any fuzz on these grounds. For that to be realistic the existing patches with fuzz need to be rebased and reviewed. * apt-native: Add libapt-pkg headersJan Siegmund2018-02-161-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Native tools were not able to use the headers of apt-pkg. This patch adds the feature. The headers were added from apt-pkg and apt-inst to the native recipe. The shipped headers match the ones in the Ubuntu package libapt-pkg-dev. * Replace one-line DESCRIPTION with SUMMARYPaul Eggleton2014-01-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the recipe / package where possible. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The changes in this commit, dc5f6c3898555b59f16bf809ae4c5418656e6ac9, moved apt config directory from native SYSROOT to WORKDIR. * apt-native: fix the creation of apt.conf.sampleHongxu Jia2013-01-101-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 1.The file of "apt.conf.sample" is in the outdir, and outdir is assigned by "os.path.join" with the params of ${D}, ${sysconfdir} and "apt". But ${sysconfdir} is an absolute dir and that let ${D} be discarded. The following is the help on function os.path.join(a, *p): Join two or more pathname components, inserting '/' as needed. If any component is an absolute path, all previous path components will be discarded. Use oe.path.join instead which don't have this problem. 2. Create apt.conf.sample if it doesn't exist. * Remove a number of unneeded import os/bb callsRichard Purdie2012-07-191-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The bb and os modules are always imported so having these extra import calls are a waste of space/execution time. They also set a bad example for people copy and pasting code so clean them up. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch had a little problem, it made a infinite loop: for (K = CmdL.FileList + 1; *K != 0; J++) But the value of "K" will nerver change, so the apt-get hangs, revert this patch first, and will fix the problem in another patch.
