* alsa-state: correct licensePeter Marko2022-07-121-2/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | * add GPL license because of alsa-state-init file * gpl link points to gpl3, but at time of adding this file was actually pointing to gpl2, so should correspond to SPDX GPL-2.0-or-later * remove date as the file was already changed several times since then (From OE-Core rev: ca73ff0d9930d545ce8cb8a62e259c0b43310f99) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* Convert to new override syntaxRichard Purdie2021-08-021-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | This is the result of automated script conversion: scripts/contrib/convert-overrides.py <oe-core directory> converting the metadata to use ":" as the override character instead of "_". * alsa-state: ignore 'No soundcards found' error in pkg_postinstYi Zhao2020-04-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If there is no soundcards on the target (e.g. qemu), the pkp_postinst function will report an error: alsactl: load_state:1735: No soundcards found... pkg_run_script: package "alsa-state" postinst script returned status 19. opkg_configure: alsa-state.postinst returned 19. Pass '-g' option to alsactl to ignore this error. * meta: set proper S valuePetter Mabäcker2015-01-231-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | After removal of auto-creating S we must ensure that all recipes are using a proper value for S. Fix all recipes that only need to set S equals to WORKDIR. * alsa-state: fix pkg_postinst and set INHIBIT_UPDATERCD_BBCLASSChen Qi2014-09-031-4/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As alsa-state inherits update-rc.d, the update-rc.d part inpostinst script has already been handled in update-rc.d.bbclass. Besides, we need to set INHIBIT_UPDATERCD_BBCLASS to "1" if 'sysvinit' is not in DISTRO_FEATURES. This is because the init script is not installed in such situation, adding update-rc.d part in the preinst/postinst scripts just makes no sense. * alsa-state: install init script only when 'sysvinit' is in DISTRO_FEATURESChen Qi2014-08-111-3/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The /etc/init.d/alsa-state is totally useless for a systemd image. Its functionality has been replaced by alsa-state.service files. So if 'sysvinit' is not in DISTRO_FEATURES, installing this script doesn't make any sense. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Completes previous commit b5292d4115a4555a66b5e35acdc67dd71fb8577f. Updates SUMMARY[doc] (meta/conf/documentation.conf). Changes: - rename DESCRIPTION with length < 80 to (non present tag) SUMMARY - drop final point character at the end of SUMMARY string - remove trailing whitespace of SUMMARY line Note: don't bump PR (From OE-Core rev: ad17dfd31a2b97b3e610a0ea0889f5ecb2a63b97) Signed-off-by: Matthieu Crapet <Matthieu.Crapet@ingenico.com> Signed-off-by: Saul Wold <sgw@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* Revert "Add missing RDEPENDS of initscripts-functions"Chen Qi2014-02-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of manually adding initscripts to RDEPENDS of each package, we should make it automatically handled by the update-rc.d.bbclass. This solution would have the benefit of backward compatibility. In other words, users need not modify their recipes. This reverts commit 16080a3485bd793edd66ed8361f1e8b86a9e19ea. * Add missing RDEPENDS of initscripts-functionsChen Qi2014-01-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Now that the initscripts-functions has been packaged separately, packages which may use the functions script should have a runtime dependency on it. * alsa-state: Rename init scriptRichard Purdie2013-10-141-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Having a SRC_URI called ${PN} is asking for trouble. When extending FILESPATH, alsa-state can be treated as a directory and copied over the contents of ${WORKDIR} which is invariably not what the user wants. Avoid this by renaming the SRC_URI to something else and only call it alsa-state at install time. | | | | | | | | | | It is considered good practice to use the build system provided variables instead of directly specify hardcoded paths. * alsa-state: move state files to localstatedirJoshua Lock2012-01-171-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | alsactl creates the state files in /var/lib/alsa by default so switch alsa-state to use files in that location. Further, update the alsa-state init script to have the location of the state files sed'ed into the script at do_install time (so as to remove hard coding of directory paths). alsa-state adds an init script and configuration files to enable a consistent and centralised mechanism for setting and restoring alsa configuration.
