* meta: remove remaining True option to getVarFlag callsMing Liu2017-01-311-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a complementary fix to commit 2dea9e49: [ meta: remove True option to getVarFlag calls ] it intended to remove all True option to getVarFlag calls, but there are still some remaining. Search made with the following regex: getVarFlag ?\((.*), True\) (From OE-Core rev: 5b53b34dcb64dc65ee651cbf78cbbd9105dc4f4c) Signed-off-by: Ming Liu <peter.x.liu@external.atlascopco.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* oe/data: Add export2json functionAníbal Limón2017-01-231-0/+28
| | | | | | | | | | | The export2json function export the variables contained in the data store to JSON format, the main usage for now will be to provide test data to QA framework. * meta: remove True option to getVarFlag callsJoshua Lock2016-12-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | getVarFlag() now defaults to expanding by default, thus remove the True option from getVarFlag() calls with a regex search and replace. Search made with the following regex: getVarFlag ?\(( ?[^,()]*, ?[^,()]*), True\) (From OE-Core rev: 2dea9e490a98377010b3d4118d054814c317a735) Signed-off-by: Joshua Lock <joshua.g.lock@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

* classes/lib: Update to match python3 iter requirementsRichard Purdie2016-06-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | python3 standardises its use of iteration operations. Update the code to match the for python3 requires. (From OE-Core rev: 2476bdcbef591e951d11d57d53f1315848758571) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>

| | | | | | | | | Update older exception syntax to modern one required by python 3. Compatible with python 2.7. (From OE-Core rev: d13f0ac614f1d1e2ef2c8ddc71cbfcf76a8dc3f2) Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
* classes/lib: Add expand parameter to getVarFlagRichard Purdie2016-02-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This sets the scene for removing the default False for expansion from getVarFlag. This would later allow True to become the default. On the most part this is an automatic translation with: sed -e 's:\(\.getVarFlag([^,()]*, [^,()]*\)):\1, True):g' -i `grep -ril getVar *` In this case, the default was False, but True was used since in most cases here expansion would be expected. * Remove a number of unneeded import os/bb callsRichard Purdie2012-07-191-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The bb and os modules are always imported so having these extra import calls are a waste of space/execution time. They also set a bad example for people copy and pasting code so clean them up. * Implement variable typing (sync from OE)Chris Larson2011-05-201-0/+13
This implementation consists of two components: - Type creation python modules, whose job it is to construct objects of the defined type for a given variable in the metadata - typecheck.bbclass, which iterates over all configuration variables with a type defined and uses oe.types to check the validity of the values This gives us a few benefits: - Automatic sanity checking of all configuration variables with a defined type - Avoid duplicating the "how do I make use of the value of this variable" logic between its users. For variables like PATH, this is simply a split(), for boolean variables, the duplication can result in confusing, or even mismatched semantics (is this 0/1, empty/nonempty, what?) - Make it easier to create a configuration UI, as the type information could be used to provide a better interface than a text edit box (e.g checkbox for 'boolean', dropdown for 'choice') This functionality is entirely opt-in right now. To enable the configuration variable type checking, simply INHERIT += "typecheck". Example of a failing type check: BAZ = "foo" BAZ[type] = "boolean" $ bitbake -p FATAL: BAZ: Invalid boolean value 'foo' $ Examples of leveraging oe.types in a python snippet: PACKAGES[type] = "list" python () { import oe.data for pkg in oe.data.typed_value("PACKAGES", d): bb.note("package: %s" % pkg) } LIBTOOL_HAS_SYSROOT = "yes" LIBTOOL_HAS_SYSROOT[type] = "boolean" python () { import oe.data assert(oe.data.typed_value("LIBTOOL_HAS_SYSROOT", d) == True) } (From OE-Core rev: a04ce490e933fc7534db33f635b025c25329c564) Signed-off-by: Chris Larson <chris_larson@mentor.com> Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org>
