Debian anonscm service in Alioth is shutdown and thus
fetching sources fails.
https://wiki.debian.org/Alioth
"Alioth is broken, and there is nobody around to fix it. Don't ask the remaining people who give it life support to implement fixes and changes. It is being replaced by a cocktail of ?GitLab (see Salsa), read-only repos and keep-alive mechanisms. See below for more information."
https://wiki.debian.org/Salsa
"What is Salsa?
Salsa is the name of a collaborative development server for Debian based on the gitlab software. Salsa is supposed to provide the necessary tools for package maintainers, packaging teams and other Debian related individuals and groups for collaborative development.
What is the status of Salsa?
After various discussions about the future of Alioth, the Alioth Sprint in August 2017 gave birth to the initial setup of the the upcoming Salsa service. The productive weekend resulted in a working prototype and was launched as a beta in December 2017. It left its beta status in January 2018."

For URIs with the npm:// transport but with no other slash in it, the
common MIRRORS and PREMIRRORS pattern of npm://.*/.* fails to match.
Make the last slash in the pattern optional in the mirros.bbclass and
own-mirrors.bbclass classes.
Many URIs with the npm:// transport have no slash after the host part:
npm://registry.npmjs.org;name=foo;version=0.1.2
This means that MIRRORS and PREMIRRORS containing entries like the
first one will not match these URIs:
npm://.*/.* # fails to match
npm://.*/?.* # matches this and URIs with path components
For normal regular expressions, a pattern like 'npm://.*(/.*)?' would
probably be preferred, but that won't work here: the pattern gets split
into the substrings 'npm', '.*(' and '/.*)?', which are not valid
regular expressions individually.

Use MIRRORS to provide git repo fallbacks using the https protocol,
for cases where git native protocol fetches may fail due to local
firewall rules, etc.
These rules should cover all git native repos used by recipes within
oe-core, with the exception of mtd-utils, for which there's currently
no upstream alternative to the git native protocol for anonymous
access ( see http://git.infradead.org/mtd-utils.git ).

https version seems more reliable and in an informal test fetching
all gnupg recipes now takes <20% of the time it used to.
Define GNUPG_MIRROR in bitbake.conf so future tweaks to this are
easier. Replace some slower mirrors with the official ftp site
and another from gnupg.org mirror list.
Set UPSTREAM_CHECK_URI in all recipes that need it to
"https://gnupg.org/download/index.html" as the directory listings
are not up-to-date.

Historical releases may disappear from the main mirrors, so
then we need to fall back to the archive (which, in turn, may
not carry the current release, and so can't be the primary mirror).

so upstream checks aren't accurate. It's replaced with official mirrors
containing current versions.

* The SRC_URI is not accessible.
So need to add mirror site referred by the original site.
* The problem is that
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases redirects to closest mirror
and few mirrors (e.g. .jp) weren't working correctly while
http://download-mirror.savannah.gnu.org/releases/ seems to be reliable.

* Change the SRC_URI using the new variable.

This mirror entry which maps to itself plus a slash, if matched, put the
fetcher into a circular loop until the stack space is exhausted. A patch
has been sent to fix this issue in BitBake, but we should remove the
bogus entry as well.
(Note that this entry does not actually trigger the issue with current
master because the gnutls recipe now uses GNU_MIRROR instead of
ftp.gnutls.org, thus the bogus mirror entry is not matched.)

from regular debian mirrors and existing snapshot mirror
did not have it either since we did not use proper syntax
so it was not hitting that.
