| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Here is the message from the bug 2260: meta-yocto/conf/machine/beagleboard.conf hardcodes the virtual/xserver provider, i.e., it includes the following: PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/xserver = "xserver-xorg-lite" I don't think machine conf is the correct place for selecting what is essentially a distro feature, but at least this should use the '?=' operator; as is to select a different provider one must provide a complete beagleboard.conf file. Kernels are machine specific and the xserver is selectable. libx11 and mesa are now really a distro choice and machine configurations shouldn't be poking around them as it just leads to corruption, conflicts and confusion. While we do not provide these in poky and meta-yocto, softfp should remain the default for compatibility reasons. Provide documentation and a commented assignment to DEFAULT_TUNE instructing how to enable hardfp, but leave it disabled by default.
