There are much better ways to handle this and most editors shouldn't need this
in modern times, drop the noise from the files. Its not consitently applied
anyway.

With the introduction of SPDX-License-Identifier headers, we don't need a ton
of header boilerplate in every file. Simplify the files and rely on the top
level for the full licence text.

This adds the SPDX-License-Identifier license headers to the majority of
our source files to make it clearer exactly which license files are under.
The bulk of the files are under GPL v2.0 with one found to be under V2.0
or later, some under MIT and some have dual license. There are some files
which are potentially harder to classify where we've imported upstream code
and those can be handled specifically in later commits.
The COPYING file is replaced with LICENSE.X files which contain the full
license texts.

Toaster users behind firewalls that block "git" access usually
require developers to add remap rules in their "~/.gitconfig"
to remap GIT accesses to HTTP* access. However, there is a
"git remote" test in Toaster that is not aware of such remaps,
resulting in a false error.
For now, disable this nice-to-have check to support this release,
and re-enable when we can add remapping accommodations for this
test.

Enable the ability to select an existing build directory into Toaster.
This opens to the user the backend features of 12823, for command line
user compatibility.
Enable the ability to select saving Toaster settings in the regular
"bblayers.conf" and "local.conf" instead of the default
"toaster_bblayers.conf" and "toaster.conf". This opens to the user the
backend features of 12821, for command line user compatibility.

The current mechanism for finding the bitbake binary
assumes a directory structure which is identical to
poky, where oe-core's meta and bitbake directories are
at the same level. There can be a case where bitbake
is used from elsewhere and in such cases the above
mentioned assumption fails to hold, whereas this is
totally allowed by the oe-init-build-env script which
can take bitbakedir as an argument.
The better approach is to allow bitbake to be derived
from PATH, while keeping the older mechanism in place so
it can be removed after tests are done in various
environments. This makes more sense as toaster has
also been launched from the same bitbake instance
that is the one in PATH.

Toaster depends on pokydirname for identifying the location of
the oe-init-build-env script (and there might be other purposes
in the future). The problem with current approach is that it
only checks/sets the variable with git based repos, whereas
toaster provides mechanisms to allow having layers that are all
locally available. The evaluation of the variable fails in such
scenarios, so use a more flexible mechanism in this case and
try to locate poky in the local layers as well, if not already
set.

enhancements and defects.
Here is the primary driving enhancement:
* Bug 12785 - Support Project Specific configuration for external
tools (e.g. ISS, Eclipse)
- Isolated project-specific configuration page (full Toaster context
hidden)
- Support for new project, reconfigure existing project, and import
existing command line project
- Ability to define variables (e.g. image recipe) and pass them back
to external GUI
- Ability to execute the cloning phase, so that external GUI receive
a buildable project
- Ability to call back to the external GUI when updates are completed
and ready
- Compatibility of above projects with the normal full Toaster interface
- Ability to pass to a 'complete' or 'cancel' web page so that the
external GUI can immediately stop that Toaster instance, and not
leave dangling servers nor edit sessions open
Here are the supporting enhancements, where at least the
back end is implemented:
* Bug 12821 - Make Toaster conf changes compatible with command line usage
* Bug 12822 - Support importing user changes to conf files into Toaster
* Bug 12823 - Support importing user build directories into Toaster
* Bug 12824 - Scan imported layers for content so that they are
immediately available
* Bug 12825 - show layer clone item in progress bar
Here are defects fixed:
* Bug 12817 - builddelete.py requires explicit 'add_arguments'
* Bug 12818 - Remove orphaned imported layers when project is deleted
* Bug 12826 - fix imported layer management
* Bug 12819 - build using selected bitbake env, not Toaster's env
* Bug 12820 - Toaster randomizes the layer order in toaster_bblayers.conf

causes the fetching very slow, so don't use "--all", git fetch should be

compatibility
The latest build enviroment script is now setting BBPATH. This breaks
building previous releases from a master-based Toaster, because with this
newly inherited BBPATH value the 'bitbake.lock' file ends up in the
Toaster build directory instead of the project's build directory.
Toaster should always clear BBPATH so that the bbserver's environment
is clean (enough).

The bitbake server changed such that the Toaster custom settings from
'toaster.conf' and 'toaster-bblayers.conf' that were set when
the '--server-only' mode was started were lost when the subsequent build
request happened, resulting in builds missing all custom changes.
This patch asserts those environment settings in both server calls.

The bitbake option "-t SERVERTYPE" was deprecated and can be
removed since the desired XMLRPC listener now the default.
The bitbake server port cannot be "-1" anymore and must be
explicitly passed.
There is a race condition for the bblock file to not only
be created but to actually be populated, so a delay test loop
is required (usually only one pass).
The 'xmlrpcclient' is now the class that allows Toaster to for
example kill builds.
The events for populating the recipe parsing now either show only
the final result or are skipped entiredly, so the progress
calculator needs to be changed to not block on the parsing phase.

structure, conf and recipe file) into it's own function and remove the
creation of the BRLayer as this is done at schedule_build just like all

This fixes the unidentified layers issue by making the
toaster-custom-images layer a local layer. By doing this we also fix the
git assumptions made for the local layers which stop recipes and other
meta data being associated with them. This also removed some of the
special casing previously needed when we didn't have the concept of a
local (non git) layer.
Also rename created flag var to a have a different var for each returned
value so that the same value isn't used multiple times.

information in the oe fixture that provides a suggested default settings

Fix:
- The use of local bitbake
- An incorrect call to realpath which didn't include its parent module.
- The field used for the local_dir of an existing openembedded-core

Reimplemented triggerBuild method to support one build directory
per project:
- start bitbake server from the cloned repository
- don't run observer
- run bitbake build directly instead of triggering it
through xmlrpc

This API is quite dangerous as it removes build directory.
It's not used anywhere and most probably will not be used in future
as toaster is going to have one build directory per project.

We still will have to run bitbake server, but it will be done
different way and the code will be in triggerBuild function.
Removed startBBServer API from BuildEnvironmentController and

Move the generated layer for custom recipes into the build directory.
The build directory makes more sense as this layer/recipe is generated
for a particular build/project.

We don't need to skip file:/// uri type locations for git repositories.
If you're using a file:/// uri you should know that it has to be a local
path.

already been built so keep the recipe file around so that it can be read
by the generate recipe function.

The brbe variable is set on the bitbake server when the Toaster
UI starts. This enables Toaster to associate events with the
correct build and build environment.
However, the brbe variable is also used when a build starts to
identify whether a new build needs to be created, or an existing
one looked up. This causes a bug for command-line builds which
happen after a Toaster-triggered build: because the brbe variable
is never unset on the server or the buildinfohelper, the new
command-line build events are treated as originating from the
previous build.
Ensure the brbe variable is reset when the buildinfohelper "closes"
a build, so that each build then either sets the brbe variable
(Toaster-triggered builds) or leaves it blank (command-line builds).
Also modify the localhostbecontroller so that the brbe variable
is not set on the server and not looked up from the server. This
ensures that it is only set when the triggerBuild() method is
called, and that it remains as None for command-line builds.

layer
We need to know the location of the based_on recipe's layer on the
file system before we try and generate the custom image recipe. As
we read the recipe to make the custom version.

Use the CustomImageRecipe generate_recipe_file_contents to generate the
recipe that we build from. Move creation of the dummy layer and recipe
object to the point of recipe creation as we need these objects before
the build time. Also update the methods to add and remove packages to
account for the CustomImageRecipe inheriting from Recipe.

rather than an intermediate AvailableRecipe object.
Therefore doesn't need an extra traverse down the object hierarchy.

rpc calls don't set variables for bitbake workers anymore.
Writen variables to toaster.conf should solve this issue.
