* layer.conf: Use .= for adding to BBPATH and += to BBFILESdanny-8.0.1Khem Raj2013-03-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes parsing errors which is appearing after this commit to meta-openembedded http://cgit.openembedded.org/meta-openembedded/commit/?id=3c21a46020bd0816579648f684c41dbd6333583e This triggers exception NameError: name 'base_contains' is not defined without this change Avoid the immediate expansion operator (:=) which caused base_contains added in the previous commit to fail to expand at the time the meta-intel layer configs are parsed and replace it with one of the append operators (.= or +=) that allows for delayed variable expansion. * sys940x: add missing emgd video componentsTom Zanussi2013-03-201-1/+2
| | | | | | | The 1.16 version of EMGD split the video components up, which now need to be added individually to VA_FEATURES. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* sys940x: Update to EMGD 1.16Darren Hart2013-03-202-6/+11
| | | | | | | | | Use the recipe-space mechanism for adding emgd as a KERNEL_FEATURE. Update to the 1.16 version and update all the SRCREV's accordingly. Include the EMGD branch in the SRC_URI and SRCREV for the sys940x machine. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* netbase: Use machine override for netbase genmac dependencyDarren Hart2013-03-081-1/+2
| | | | | | | | Without the machine override, the genmac dependency will be pulled in whenever the layer is included, regardless of MACHINE. Reported-by: Koen Kooi <koen@dominion.thruhere.net> Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* sys940x: Add linux-yocto_3.4 bbappendDarren Hart2013-03-071-0/+15
| | | | | | | | This was ommitted during the danny dev cycle. I have added it and tested on the sys945x. It uses a known set of SRCREVs (same as fri2). Low risk, contained, and tested. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* BSP README.sources: update the URL of the source tarballNitin A Kamble2013-02-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Instead of the denzil release specify the location of the source tarball of danny release. Signed-off-by: Nitin A Kamble <nitin.a.kamble@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* sys940x: Add WEBTITLE and compliance informationDarren Hart2012-10-313-5/+16
| | | | | | | | | | The WEBTITLE will be used to publish the BSP on the Yocto Project website. Adding the Yocto Project compliance information for the 1.3 release. Update the DESCRIPTION in the machine config and the platform description in the README to be consistent. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* meta-intel: remove linux-yocto*_3.0 bbappendsTom Zanussi2012-10-292-31/+0
| | | | | | | The 3.2 and 3.4 kernels are the ones supported for Yocto 1.3, so remove the 3.0 versions. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel: update kernel SRCREVs and pin LINUX_VERSIONTom Zanussi2012-10-291-4/+6
| | | | | | | | | | Update all the linux-yocto .bbappends with the latest kernel SRCREVs and add explicit LINUX_VERSIONs for the 1.3 release, to prevent a mismatch between the kernel version actually used in the machine branch vs the version the recipe uses for the kernel image, which can change with stable updates. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel: fix VA_FEATURES assignment in machine configsTom Zanussi2012-10-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | commit 2231d38 (meta-intel: make video acceleration choice dependent on LICENSE_FLAGS) inadvertently also changed '?=' to a hard assignment, making it hard to override as intended. This changes it back. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel: don't require commercial licenses for gstreamer-vaapiRoss Burton2012-10-221-2/+1
| | | | | | | | Now that gstreamer-vaapi doesn't depend on ffmpeg, it can always be recommended by the machine configuration. Signed-off-by: Ross Burton <ross.burton@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* Fix use of PRINC in meta-intel BSPs1.3_M5.rc4Darren Hart2012-10-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Replaces all uses of PRINC with the form: PRINC := "${@int(PRINC) + N}" Where N is the previously assigned value plus one to ensure a monotonically increasing PRINC value. * meta-intel: use FILESEXTRAPATHS for xserver-xf86-config bbappendsTom Zanussi2012-10-021-3/+1
| | | | | | | | The xserver-xf86-config .bbappends are still using FILESPATH - update them to use FILESEXTRAPATHS as recommended by the Poky Reference Manual and BSP Developer's Guides. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* sys940x: Update to Linux 3.4 and EMGD 1.14Darren Hart2012-09-242-6/+6

* meta-intel: have fri2 and sys940x prefer emgd-1.10Tom Zanussi2012-09-151-0/+1
| | | | | | fri2 and sys940x need to use emgd-1.10 instead of the newer 1.14. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel: make video acceleration choice dependent on LICENSE_FLAGSTom Zanussi2012-09-152-1/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | The gst-ffmpeg recipe in oe-core had LICENSE_FLAGS added to make it "commercial", so to avoid build errors the BSPs that use it (via the gst-va-intel VA_FEATURE) should only include it if the user has added "commercial" to LICENSE_FLAGS_WHITELIST when building. This adds a conditional to detect that, along with a NOTE in the README to explain the need for the flag. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel.inc: have appropriate BSPs use itTom Zanussi2012-08-291-0/+1
| | | | | | | | ia32-base.inc no longer contains everything these BSPs need - some of what was in that file is now in meta-intel.inc, so we need to include that too. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>

* sys940x: prefer xf86-input-evdev 2.6.0Darren Hart2012-05-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Per the following commit, sys940x also uses emgd and requires the same treatment. commit b612c79f600b7e904aeab37df5aaa3ca5d306b4d Author: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org> Date: Wed Apr 25 21:15:06 2012 +0100 common/meta-graphics: Add xf86-input-evdev 2.6.0 This is needed by the pvr graphics stacks since newer versions won't build with the older xserver those platforms are using. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <richard.purdie@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* meta-intel: add LAYERDEPENDS for layers needing the meta-intel common layer1.2_M3.rc11.2_M3Paul Eggleton2012-02-241-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | These layers all contain machine configuration that depends on having the meta-intel common layer enabled as well, so use LAYERDEPENDS in the layer configuration for each one to make this explicit. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel: replace "include" with "require"Paul Eggleton2012-02-242-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | We want a failure to occur if the files specified in these statements can't be found (e.g. when there is a misconfiguration), so use require instead of include. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* netbase: put sys940x specific interfaces file in MACHINE directoryJoshua Lock2012-02-103-2/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | Move the interfaces file to a MACHINE appropriate subdirectory of files so that: a) base.bbclass appropriately marks the resultant package MACHINE specific. b) builds for alternative MACHINES whilst this layer is enabled don't get the sys940x interfaces file Signed-off-by: Joshua Lock <josh@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* netbase: Add interfaces with RANDOM_MAC for sys940x* machinesDarren Hart2012-02-032-0/+13
| | | | | | | | These machines have no MAC in the hardware and require that it be set manually. Specify RANDOM_MAC for the eth0 interface which the genmac init script will replace with RANDOM_MAC on first boot. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* genmac: Replace RANDOM_MAC in network/interfaces with a randomly generated MACDarren Hart2012-02-032-0/+76
| | | | | | | | | | | | For machines that do not have a MAC in hardware and with drivers that don't generate a random one in the kernel, this init script will replace the string RANDOM_MAC in the network/interfaces file with one generated with "ranpwd -m". Care is taken to ensure multiple interfaces can use RANDOM_MAC and receive unique addresses. ranpwd generates MACs with the locally administered bit set and the multicast bit disabled. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Joshua Lock <josh@linux.intel.com>
* ranpwd: Add ranpwd recipeDarren Hart2012-02-031-0/+24
| | | | | | | ranpwd is used to generate random strings of various types, including passwords, UUIDs, and MAC addresses. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
