* rt: simplify linux-yocto-rt.bbappend for all BSPsDarren Hart2011-08-121-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | As the all the BSPs use the same BSP branch and meta commit ID as the base recipe, there is no need specify the KBRANCH and SRCREVs. Not doing so greatly simplifies maintenance. Leaving the syntax in place, but commented out, serves as documentation should the need arise to use a different BSP branch or meta commit ID. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* allow override of kernel providerDarren Hart2011-08-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | Allow users or layers to override PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel. This is required to use the linux-yocto-rt kernel, for example. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* add linux-yocto-rt_3.0 support for all meta-intel BSPsDarren Hart2011-08-111-0/+7
| | | | | | | | All the BSPs build out of the preempt-rt/base branch (rather than a preempt-rt/$MACHINE branch), so separate KMACHINE and KBRANCH assignments are required for each BSP. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* meta-sugarbay: add live fstypeTom Zanussi2011-08-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | Most of the time, we want a -live image, so add it to the IMAGE_FSTYPES by default. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-sugarbay: update machine configuration for recent tune file changesPaul Eggleton2011-08-041-6/+1
| | | | | | | | | Require the tune file for x86_64, then TARGET_ARCH and TARGET_CC_ARCH are set already. Also remove superfluous "snb" package architecture that doesn't do anything. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-sugarbay: switch to linux-yocto 3.0 kernel1.1_M3.rc2Tom Zanussi2011-07-262-0/+8

* meta-intel: fix formfactor bbappends to use FILESEXTRAPATHS_prependPaul Eggleton2011-06-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This allows meta-intel sub-layers to coexist with meta-yocto when building formfactor for different machines with the same layer setup. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel/linux-yocto: update to match the renamed linux-yocto recipesBruce Ashfield2011-06-143-8/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The linux-yocto recipes have been renamed to include explicit version numbers. The meta-intel bbappends must be updated to follow the new naming convention. As a consequence of the recipe renames any SRCREV specificiations that were part of a machine.conf have been moved to the corresponding bbappend file. This allows the 2.6.34 and 2.6.37 SRCREVs to co-exist. Signed-off-by: Bruce Ashfield <bruce.ashfield@windriver.com> Minor whitespace cleanup. Remove inadvertant? linux-libc-headers provider change. * linux-yocto*: correct FILESEXTRAPATHS assignment in all layersDarren Hart2011-05-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | My previous commit used a self referencing immediate expansion assignment using. This causes a circular reference and build failure, particularly when more than one layer is configured in. Use the _prepend mechanism in conjunction with the immediate expansion assignment operator to accomplish a similar thing without the self referencing. Note: This patch is dependent on changes to oe-core, specifically: http://lists.linuxtogo.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2011-May/003145.html Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com> Cc: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com> Cc: Phill Blundell <pb@pbcl.net> Cc: Koen Kooi <koen@dominion.thruhere.net>
* meta-sugarbay: Change build instructions in README to use BSP tarball1.1_M1.rc21.1_M1Tom Zanussi2011-05-261-9/+12
| | | | | | | | | Change the build instructions to use BSP tarballs instead of git clones. The git clone info remains as a mentioned alternative. Fixes [YOCTO #1103]. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel: fix BBFILE_COLLECTIONS overridesTom Zanussi2011-05-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Several BBFILE_COLLECTIONS assignments in the layer.confs for these meta-intel layers added unwanted machine overrides, resulting in truncated values for this variable - remove them. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>

* linux-yocto*: extend FILESEXTRAPATHS instead of clobber themDarren Hart2011-05-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Clobbering FILESEXTRAPATHS prevents multiple bbappend files providing file:// SRC_URIs. Extend the variable in each meta-* layer instead. Build tested with linux-yocto on n450 and crownbay and linux-yocto-stable on crownbay. Build tested linux-yocto on n450 with a third layer adding a config fragment. * meta-intel: use default rootfs size for BSPSTom Zanussi2011-05-031-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | The default rootfs size if left unspecified is the actual rootfs size + 20%. There doesn't seem to be a reason to make the default for these BSPs anything different, so remove the IMAGE_ROOTFS_SIZE overrides. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>

* meta-sugarbay: new layer for Sandy Bridge/Cougar Point systemsTom Zanussi2011-01-3111-0/+211
This layer provides support for Sandy Bridge + Cougar Point Intel systems. The 'Sugar Bay' platform consists of the Intel Sandy Bridge processor, plus the Cougar Point PCH (Q67 Express or B65 Express chipsets). This BSP assumes that the Sandy Bridge integrated graphics are being used, and makes use of the grub2 and associated live-install changes in meta-intel/common.
