| | | | | | | Switch crownbay and crownbay-noemgd to the 3.0 kernel, lock it down, and update kernel SRCREVs. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* rt: simplify linux-yocto-rt.bbappend for all BSPsDarren Hart2011-08-121-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | As the all the BSPs use the same BSP branch and meta commit ID as the base recipe, there is no need specify the KBRANCH and SRCREVs. Not doing so greatly simplifies maintenance. Leaving the syntax in place, but commented out, serves as documentation should the need arise to use a different BSP branch or meta commit ID. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* allow override of kernel providerDarren Hart2011-08-112-2/+2
| | | | | | | Allow users or layers to override PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel. This is required to use the linux-yocto-rt kernel, for example. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* add linux-yocto-rt_3.0 support for all meta-intel BSPsDarren Hart2011-08-111-0/+9
| | | | | | | | All the BSPs build out of the preempt-rt/base branch (rather than a preempt-rt/$MACHINE branch), so separate KMACHINE and KBRANCH assignments are required for each BSP. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* meta-crownbay: remove obsolete dirTom Zanussi2011-08-031-0/+0
| | | | | | | remove recipes-graphics/xorg-xserver/xserver-xf86-emgd-bin, since it's no longer used. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-crownbay: add live fstypeTom Zanussi2011-08-032-2/+2
| | | | | | | Most of the time, we want a -live image, so add it to the IMAGE_FSTYPES by default. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-crownbay: remove tune-related assignments from machine confTom Zanussi2011-08-032-4/+0
| | | | | | | These are all now handled or obsoleted by tune-atom.inc, so remove them here. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-crownbay: fix BBFILES in crownbay layer.confTom Zanussi2011-08-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | The BBFILES append in crownbay's layer.conf is too broad and causes the wrong init-install.sh to be picked up, causing a bad grub install. Narrow down the BBFILES to include only what is actually needed. Fixes [YOCTO #1257]. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* Update kernel SRCREVs.Tom Zanussi2011-06-271-4/+4

* meta-intel: fix formfactor bbappends to use FILESEXTRAPATHS_prependPaul Eggleton2011-06-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This allows meta-intel sub-layers to coexist with meta-yocto when building formfactor for different machines with the same layer setup. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel/linux-yocto: update to match the renamed linux-yocto recipesBruce Ashfield2011-06-145-21/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The linux-yocto recipes have been renamed to include explicit version numbers. The meta-intel bbappends must be updated to follow the new naming convention. As a consequence of the recipe renames any SRCREV specificiations that were part of a machine.conf have been moved to the corresponding bbappend file. This allows the 2.6.34 and 2.6.37 SRCREVs to co-exist. Signed-off-by: Bruce Ashfield <bruce.ashfield@windriver.com> Minor whitespace cleanup. Remove inadvertant? linux-libc-headers provider change. Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>

* meta-crownbay: tidy up layer configurationPaul Eggleton2011-06-021-5/+1
| | | | | | | | | | * We can't use machine overrides in layer.conf because MACHINE is not defined yet (local.conf has not yet been parsed) so remove these * In light of the above having a separate collection configured for crownbay-noemgd no longer does anything, so remove it as well. Signed-off-by: Paul Eggleton <paul.eggleton@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-crownbay: update README with new build instructions.Tom Zanussi2011-06-011-18/+77
| | | | | | | | | EMGD 1.6 added a new non-clickthrough Linux tarball download; this changes the README to make use of it and also updates new directory naming, etc. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com> Acked-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* meta-crownbay: remove obsolete graphics recipesTom Zanussi2011-06-016-177/+0

* meta-crownbay: add common to BBFILESTom Zanussi2011-06-011-1/+3
| | | | | | | | Add common to BBFILES so crownbay can find recipes it needs from there. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com> Acked-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* meta-crownbay: new recipe for emgd 1.6 driver binariesTom Zanussi2011-06-012-0/+25
| | | | | | | | | | | This adds a new recipe for the emgd 1.6 driver binaries. For emgd 1.6, the layout of the binaries has changed, making them easier to install, and we also take the opportunity to sanitize the naming and make it more apparent that these are the emgd driver bits corresponding to a particular emgd release, 1.6 in this case. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com> Acked-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com>
* linux-yocto*: correct FILESEXTRAPATHS assignment in all layersDarren Hart2011-05-272-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | My previous commit used a self referencing immediate expansion assignment using. This causes a circular reference and build failure, particularly when more than one layer is configured in. Use the _prepend mechanism in conjunction with the immediate expansion assignment operator to accomplish a similar thing without the self referencing. Note: This patch is dependent on changes to oe-core, specifically: http://lists.linuxtogo.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2011-May/003145.html Signed-off-by: Darren Hart <dvhart@linux.intel.com> Cc: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com> Cc: Phill Blundell <pb@pbcl.net> Cc: Koen Kooi <koen@dominion.thruhere.net>
* meta-intel: Change build instructions in README to use BSP tarballTom Zanussi2011-05-261-9/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | Change the build instructions to use BSP tarballs instead of git clones. The git clone info remains as a mentioned alternative. The original bug report was for Sugar Bay, but the others had the same problem - this fixes those up. Fixes [YOCTO #1103]. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* meta-intel: fix BBFILE_COLLECTIONS overridesTom Zanussi2011-05-261-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Several BBFILE_COLLECTIONS assignments in the layer.confs for these meta-intel layers added unwanted machine overrides, resulting in truncated values for this variable - remove them. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* Add SMP support to crownbay.Marc Ferland2011-05-192-0/+4
| | | | | | | | This patch fixes Yocto BUG #1015. It adds support for SMP on the crownbay architecture from the meta-intel branch. Signed-off-by: Marc Ferland <ferlandm@sonatest.com> Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>

* crownbay-noemgd: add crownbay-noemgd as COMPATIBLE_MACHINE to linux-yocto ↵Tom Zanussi2011-05-141-0/+4
| | | | | | | | bbappend crownbay-noemgd also needs a COMPATIBLE_MACHINE entry in linux-yocto. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
* crownbay-noemgd: remove custom BASE_PACKAGE_ARCH and PACKAGE_EXTRA_ARCHSTom Zanussi2011-05-141-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | PACKAGE_EXTRA_ARCHS in the conf file gets overwritten by the tune-atom include following it, preventing the atom BASE_PACKAGE_ARCH from being included in the final PACKAGE_ARCHS and causing do_rootfs to fail. Remove the atom BASE_PACKAGE_ARCH and PACKAGE_EXTRA_ARCHS in the conf file and allow the values in tune-atom to be used as intended. Fixes [BUGID #986]. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>

* linux-yocto*: extend FILESEXTRAPATHS instead of clobber themDarren Hart2011-05-132-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Clobbering FILESEXTRAPATHS prevents multiple bbappend files providing file:// SRC_URIs. Extend the variable in each meta-* layer instead. Build tested with linux-yocto on n450 and crownbay and linux-yocto-stable on crownbay. Build tested linux-yocto on n450 with a third layer adding a config fragment. * meta-intel: use default rootfs size for BSPSTom Zanussi2011-05-032-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | The default rootfs size if left unspecified is the actual rootfs size + 20%. There doesn't seem to be a reason to make the default for these BSPs anything different, so remove the IMAGE_ROOTFS_SIZE overrides. Signed-off-by: Tom Zanussi <tom.zanussi@intel.com>
