This allows the logic that removes firmware that is not for this platform to handle any firmware, not just the main binary. Also, make the default value of the variable UNDEFINED. At least aplay and arecord still work, if aplay is interrupted with a suspend/resume cycle playing restarts on resume. (This on a Apalis iMX6, SGTL5000 codec).
