* linux-fslc: drop config options not present in treeAndrey Zhizhikin2023-01-111-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Following config options are not present in the tree, but defined in the defconfig file: - CONFIG_DWMAC_TEGRA - CONFIG_COMMON_CLK_NPCM8XX Those were introduced by upstream commit 4cac4de4b05f ("arm64: defconfig: Enable Tegra MGBE driver") and commit 45472f1e5348 ("arm64: defconfig: Add Nuvoton NPCM family support") respectively, but do not have any functionality in the Kernel tree. Drop those options from the `defconfig` file, as Yocto Kernel config sanity check produce warning regarding those items. Signed-off-by: Andrey Zhizhikin <andrey.z@gmail.com>

* recipes-kernel: drop lzop kernel compressionAndrey Zhizhikin2022-06-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since lzop-native was dropped from OE-Core, kernel was not buildable for arm32 configuration as LZOP compression has been enabled there in default configurations. This was dropped from all the branches in linux-fslc repository [1], [2], [3]. Update layer kernel configs to drop this option as well. * linux-fslc: drop config option not present in upstreamAndrey Zhizhikin2022-06-061-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | TEGRA186_GPC_DMA config option has been merged as a part of series [1], but entire series did not land in the upstream. This causes the Kernel configuration sanity check in Yocto build to fail, reporting missing config option. Drop the config option from layer's defconfig file as it is not present in upstream. * Generalize overrides subsystem for NXP and Mainline supportOtavio Salvador2022-02-211-0/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Essentially, we extend the overrides to a generic-bsp, nxp-bsp, and mainline-bsp. So, for example, the mx8mq override is split into: - imx-generic-bsp: compatible with every i.MX SoC and both BSP variants - imx-nxp-bsp: compatible with every i.MX SoC but specific to NXP BSP - imx-mainline-bsp: compatible with every i.MX SoC but specific to Mainline BSP - mx8-generic-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8 SoC and both BSP variants - mx8-nxp-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8 SoC but specific to NXP BSP - mx8-mainline-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8 SoC but specific to Mainline BSP - mx8m-generic-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8M SoC and both BSP variants - mx8m-nxp-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8M SoC but specific to NXP BSP - mx8m-mainline-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8M SoC but specific to Mainline BSP - mx8mq-generic-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8MQ SoC and both BSP variants - mx8mq-nxp-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8MQ SoC8 but specific to NXP BSP - mx8mq-mainline-bsp: compatible with every i.MX8MQ SoC but specific to Mainline BSP The extender mechanism is responsible for extending the override list to include the generic overrides. We can then use the three different variants to handle the metadata correctly. Generically speaking, the conversion mainly was automated (with a lot of back and forth until getting it right). To convert an existing layer, the following script can be used: ```sh git ls-files classes recipes-* \ | xargs sed -i \ -e 's,:\(mx[6-8]\w*\),:\1-nxp-bsp,g' \ -e 's,(\(mx[6-8]\w*\)),(\1-nxp-bsp),g' \ -e 's,\(mx[6-8]\w*\)|,\1-nxp-bsp|,g' \ -e 's,|\(mx[6-8]\w*\)),|\1-nxp-bsp),g' \ \ -e 's,:\(mx[5s]\w*\),:\1-generic-bsp,g' \ -e 's,(\(mx[5s]\w*\)),(\1-generic-bsp),g' \ -e 's,\(mx[5s]\w*\)|,\1-generic-bsp|,g' \ -e 's,|\(mx[5s]\w*\)),|\1-generic-bsp),g' \ \ -e 's,:\(vf\w*\),:\1-generic-bsp,g' \ -e 's,:\(vf[56]0\w*\),:\1-generic-bsp,g' \ -e 's,\(vf\w*\)|,\1-generic-bsp|,g' \ -e 's,|\(vf\w*\)),|\1-generic-bsp),g' \ -e 's,\(vf[56]0\w*\)|,\1-generic-bsp|,g' \ -e 's,|\(vf[56]0\w*\)),|\1-generic-bsp),g' \ \ -e 's,:\(imx\) ,:\1-nxp-bsp ,g' \ -e 's,(\(imx\)),(\1-nxp-bsp),g' \ -e 's,\(imx\)|,\1-nxp-bsp|,g' \ -e 's,|\(imx\)),|\1-nxp-bsp),g' for d in $(find -type d | egrep '/mx[6-8]w*'); do git mv $d $d-nxp-bsp done for d in $(find -type d | egrep '/imx$'); do git mv $d $d-nxp-bsp done for d in $(find -type d | egrep '/mx[5s]w*'); do git mv $d $d-generic-bsp done ``` Fixes: #791. * linux-fslc (4.4): Introduce Linux 4.4 kernelStefan Agner2016-04-192-5/+319
| | | | | | | | | | Introduce Linux 4.4 based vanilla Linux kernel. This version allows to use the DRM DCU driver on Vybrid (with some additional patches). Also enable PWM support through Vybrid's FlexTimer module, and update the defconfigs. Signed-off-by: Stefan Agner <stefan.agner@toradex.com> Signed-off-by: Otavio Salvador <otavio@ossystems.com.br>
* linux-fslc: Upgrade to 4.3-based kernelOtavio Salvador2016-04-192-329/+20
| | | | | | | | | | Besides the revision change, this synchronizes the defconfig used for the i.MX and the Vybrid SoCs. The only SoCs using a specific defconfig file are the MXS-based ones (i.MX23 and i.MX28) as the others are consolidated on the single defconfig file. * Revert "linux-fslc: Upgrade to 4.3-based kernel"Otavio Salvador2016-04-192-20/+329
| | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit 649f479f118567d62a5a57d690fb3fe3915f0ea7. The 4.3 version of kernel cause build errors on lttng and cannot be included until those are fix. We are reverting it now and will add it back once OE-Core is fixed to support it. Signed-off-by: Otavio Salvador <otavio@ossystems.com.br>

* linux-fslc (4.1): Add defconfig for Vybrid SoCsStefan Agner2016-04-191-0/+322
| | | | | | | | Add an optimized defconfig for Vybrid which includes NFC (NAND) and DCU (fbdev) support for Vybrid. Signed-off-by: Stefan Agner <stefan.agner@toradex.com> Signed-off-by: Otavio Salvador <otavio@ossystems.com.br>
* Move meta-fsl-arm content to layer rootOtavio Salvador2015-07-162-0/+542
The meta-fsl-arm is going to be used as the base for this layer. It contains a clean history and allowing a more granullar set of changes. This commit is just a rename of all contents of meta-fsl-arm subdirectory to this layer's root, subsequent changes are based on top of that. Signed-off-by: Otavio Salvador <otavio@ossystems.com.br>
